Fall 2021 One Room Challenge Reveal

The final day of the Fall 2021 One Room Challenge is here and along with it comes stunning room reveals from all of this season’s Featured Designers. Spending just 8 short weeks demolishing and renovating different spaces, these designers went above and beyond this Fall.

Take a look below to see the reveals of all of the Featured Designers we partnered with this season.

Beth Diana Smith

Beth with @bethdianasmith is the CEO + Principal Designer of Beth Diana Smith Interior Design, and this season she was chosen as a Featured Designer for the One Room Challenge. For this challenge, she decided to take on her bedroom to create a space that she would love.

Being a maximalist, she knew she wanted to create an elegant and detailed space. To do that - she would need a lot of decorative trim.

“To create the fluted wall I used Ornamental Moulding's 846 Door Casing which is double-sided but I used the fluted side. For the chair rail I wanted subtle curves to complement the fluted wall and once I saw Ornamental's OML44, I knew I had a winner. The picture frame moulding is also from Ornamental, it's their 589 Colonial Trim and I thought it went really well with the chair rail because of its curves and small height at 1-1/4".”

Erika Ward

Erika Ward with @mrserikaward is the owner and principal designer of Erika Ward Interiors. Erika decided to take on three rooms in her home during this 8-week challenge; her entry, dining room, and great room.

“What guests first notice is the gorgeous trim molding from Novo Building Products, parent company to Ornamental Moulding, which is painted a beautiful warm white.”

“We used three different trim molding profiles to produce this grand gesture in our great room. I still can’t believe the transformation! It’s a wow-factor that stays with you. Trim is EVERYWHERE between the three rooms in this open floor plan but combining the farmhouse style trim work on the fireplace bump out makes it all feel more approachable.”

All of the moulding products Erika used to create this space are below.

Gloribell Lebron

Gloribell Lebron with @glebroninteriors is the Principal Designer and CEO of G. Lebron Interiors in Miami. She also chose to take on her bedroom in this challenge, and it has turned into a beautiful and modern space.

“We created an additional layer of interest in this room with the crown moulding and slat wood wall. Both items were possible thanks to a collaboration with Novo Building Products and Ornamental Decorative Millwork. I’ve shared in the Week 4 and Week 5 of the One Room Challenge all about the moulding used here (1261 Sawtooth) but what you haven’t seen yet is the slatted wall we created using the WOAK 1/2”x 2”x 96” Board. We measured and cut each piece to create this effect over one wall as an accent. The result is simply outstanding and the grain of the white oak adds another fabulous organic texture to this room.”

Homemade By Carmona

Ursula Carmona with @homemadebycarmona is taking on this challenge as a Featured Designer once again, and her space does not disappoint. Choosing an outdoor shed to revamp, this project stands to be one of the most unique we have seen from this challenge. Throughout the 8 week challenge, she took a “messy old shed into a stunning garden house with artist studio and greenhouse.”

Utilizing OML24 Baseboards and 1540-8 Covertrim Crown, Ursula created a beautiful shed that is still very practical for her needs. She also utilized Decorative Shelf Brackets to give her gorgeous shelving a special look.

Rebecca DIY

Rebecca Propes with @rebeccadiy decided to take on her stairway and entryway for this challenge, and her bright and fun style continues to shine through in her revealed space.

“I mean…I had to paint the railing PINK but the decorative stair risers from Ornamental Decorative Millwork are for sure having their moment on the stairs.” Along with our Decorative Stair Risers, Rebecca utilized our Ambrosia Maple Beams to add some beautiful texture to her hallway ceiling.

“We installed Chair Rail and Picture Frame trim molding from Novo Building Products to evoke a sense of luxury and elegance. The walls, including the molding is painted in a lovely warm white that envelopes you as soon as you walk in.”

Not only did she add beautiful decorative trim to the spaces, but she added Fluted Trim to her closet doors for a beautifully elegant look, and completed the space with our 1712 Crown Moulding.
